Came out of a discussion about the geographical centre of Great Britain... don't ask, I didn't start it!

Just reminded me of riding it, a long time ago, and remembering it as a classic moorland track. As you say, soggy and a bit of a push! The other one I remember round there is the descent from Parlick to Fell Foot Farm which is fun.
