British MTBO Sprint Championship

The British Sprint Champs will be took place on the 30th June at Lee and Cragg Quarries. This new area to MTBO was mapped especially for this event by Alan Hartley. On the day Alan was helped by members of PFO orienteering club showing that collaboration between the foot and bike disciplines of our sport can only benefit the sport as a whole.The area provided some tough navigation (with many experienced orienteers confessing to errors) and a sprinkling of technical riding to add some spice.
Killian Lomas and Helen Winskill overcame tough competition to prove worthy winners and were duly 'crowned' British MTBO Sprint Champions 2012.
