Happy New Year .... Membership open for renewals and new riders.

Happy New Year to all riders. Following our AGM and subsequent Committee meetings recently, I am now in a position to confirm the 2013 membership structure.

Having been able to provide a full free year membership in 2012 due to funds being available we are re-introducing a paid for membership scheme from 2013 for Members.

The revenue from memberships will allow BMBO to continue to develop the sport for all participants, promote the sport to potential organisers and riders, develop the package for members and ensure that we have the technical capability of supporting the sport through the website and timing equipment.

The membership structure for 2013:

>BMBO Adult Member 2013; £6 plus rider benefits (Entry to all National Leagues, Discount from a variety of BMBO Sponsors, vote at AGM).

>Day Rider 2013; pay event entry charge on the day Plus a Day Rider supplement of £1 per event (riders are not eligible for National leagues, not eligible for BMBO Sponsor deals and discounts, no voting rights).

>BMBO Under 21 Member 2013; Free membership (£1 discount event entry, Entry to all National Leagues, Discount from a variety of BMBO Sponsors, no voting rights).

The benefits of BMBO membership are being expanded in 2013 with a number of specific additions available to members only. Some of these benefits are being finalised currently with potential sponsors for the national leagues and also a series of member discounts. These will also be updated on the web site membership pages during 2013, see: http://www.bmbo.org.uk/membership-information/

Under 21 membership remains free, which I’m sure you will agree is essential to ensure we encourage young riders to come along to events with friends or family. Please ensure that Under 21 Members still renew their 2013 membership for free as they will still need to show valid membership at events.

To help manage membership, from 2013 organisers will be asking to see your membership card at event registration so please ensure that you print out your membership and take it with your kit to each event. If you enter an event through the BMBO website, your membership will not need to be checked saving you queuing at events.

BMBO is increasing the Organiser Levy per rider from £1.10 to £1.30 for 2013. You will probably see this small increase in event entry fees.
