Exciting times ahead for BMBO in 2013…….
We have many plans for raising the sports profile in 2013 through marketing activities and through forging new partnerships with other organisations where they share our willingness to encourage people onto bikes.
I am also busy communicating with potential sponsors for the national leagues. I will hopefully have more news for the next newsletter. At the moment all I can say is that I am trying for a range of potential supporters who will offer discounts for BMBO members and who will also get involved in terms of sponsoring the leagues.
More news next time…..
If you have any ideas for sponsors or have any personal connections of offers for us, please drop me a line via email; chairman@bmbo.org.uk
The team, are busy implementing changes on the website currently ready for 2013. The website gives is a fantastic vehicle for promoting the sport across all of the BMBO clubs and their events. Any tweaks and updates we can make to the site to make it more appealing or useful to organisers and new riders will be made. We have plenty of ideas from your feedback in the survey and a few have also emailed me. I would welcome any other suggestions for consideration.
Of course we can only do so much. We all have other responsibilities outside of BMBO and whilst our enthusiasm and ideas for the future can hopefully achieve a great deal, we really need the support of every member and organiser to help with spreading the word in 2013.
We could really make a difference if everyone talked-up the sport and the fantastic events that organisers invest a great deal of time in to make possible for “us riders”.
Please, please tell as many people as you can over the holiday period, pass on the BMBO web site address when out on rides or in cycling cafes over the next few weeks. For those into their social networking forums post BMBO events, tag BMBO and generally let people know about the sport.
>>>>>RIDER SURVEYS out in local bike shops……
Over the next few weeks you may come across a BMBO mtb rider survey that we have put out into about a dozen or so shops in the north of England. The survey is aimed at non-members who ride mountain bikes.
This is a simple "pilot" rider survey that we have designed. The survey sheet also includes a tear off leaflet about the sport. Any feedback we obtain through this will help with other projects that we have planned for completion in the next few months.
I’ll update you on the feedback and next steps of the projects……
