Inter Club Shield event #1 - Ruardean Hill

The first ever event of the Inter Club Shield happened this Sunday in Ruardean Hill. Strong result to the "home" team (Black Mountains) with 12 out of the top 15 results. Only 5 riders visited from other regions to enjoy the great tracks around Forest of Dean and Cinderford - although wet in places, were riding pretty fast. SLOW managed a good mitigation score with only 2 riders on the day. Several people tied on net final score (no time tie-breaker for the Shield league) allowed Dave Tipper to bring home 2 points to Midlands, even with the eBike "discount" of 20% on final points.
A special thanks to Sion for taking the extra burden of the first club allocations. News will follow soon about the next Shield event, as the event calendar for 2023 starts to finalize.
