14 riders took part, riding as 10 separate groups. Between them, riders visited 19 of the 20 control sites and in nearly every case the corresponding photographs were correctly identified. Most riders chose to spend some or all of the time in the flatter terrain to the south and east of Yalding. Visiting all the controls would have required a rider to cover more than 90km with about 700m climb. Loops to the west and east of Yalding of around 45km would each have been sufficient to visit half the controls. A ride visiting the 10 controls closest to the start / finish would also have been around 45km in length.
