What a lovely day for riding, 28 controls scattered across the wide open areas of Whitsbury an area of Outstanding Natural beauty. I had planned the event thinking no one could get them all, i think i only succeeded due to a couple of punctures on the fastest riders. One competitor rode 67 kms in 3 hours and still missed one. WOW across those gravel tracks that's some riding. It was nice to see some locals giving it a go for the first time and i think they will be back for more. When i plan next time i do need to get some more help as all the controls got put out on the Saturday but to set up starts i started at 7.00 on Sunday and arrived home at 20.15 after collecting all controls, a long but satisfying day. I hope you also appreciated my gardening on some of the routes, although some riders used a bramble/stinger route that i didn't think anyone would take.
