Many thanks to Jane and her team for putting on an excellent event at Albury and to Chris and Paula Porter for their assistance. It was based at Albury Sports club which provided refreshments, a bar, ample parking and direct access to a fantastic riding area. With an A3 map the course extended to Newlands Corner, the North Downs, St Martha’s hill and Blackheath.

The sun was out and the trails were very dry although there was a lot of debris washed out from some deluges of rain earlier in the week. In all there were 6 clearances. Congratulations to Ifor Powell for winning the event and Men’s Vets. Nuno Cerqueira won the Men’s Seniors. Louise Oliver won the Women’s Vets and Nicki Adams the Women’s Seniors. Ifor is now 1 point ahead of Nuno for the overall series title.

MapRun6 performed well for the majority of people with very few post ride edits needed. Setting the tolerance around control points to 30m seems to give a very reliable detection rate.
