Just a quick thank you to those that turned up on Sunday. I am pleased everyone seemed to enjoy it. although I say it myself I was quite pleased with the map, although most of the west side was on tarmac which was a great contrast to the area in the NE of the map which was the worst area impacted by all the rain on Friday and Saturday. Not surprisingly CP 7 was not visited. With several 30 pointers in the middle of the map it obviously gave you an issue as to which was the best way to start as each of the top 6 took a different route. Even having plenty of time to study the map I still couldn't see an obvious route. Congratulations to Jason for the win, he scored 470 but was 6 minutes late so netted 461. he also avoided the wettest and steepest bits of the map. Thanks also to Rachel, Abigail, the 2 julies and the 2 Melanies for coming and having a go, I hope you all enjoyed it and I'm sure you had plenty to chat about later. Hopefully you'll have got the bug and will have another go.
