A cold and damp morning greeted the small field of 25 riders gathered at Froxfield Village Hall in Hampshire for the second SLOW event of the year. The previous night's rain was still in evidence, washing across many of the roads. It was just as well for the riders that the maps were marked up indicating some of the muddiest tracks and the network of minor roads offered a good variety of alternative routes. Several riders had taken part in the New Forest Questars event the previous day and decided to make a weekend of it!
With 600 points available across the 30 CP's it was Ian Cartwright who came out on top with 486 points visiting 23 CP's. Apart from a couple of riders who experienced MapRun dropping out and back in during the ride the app worked well for the majority. There was lots of positive feedback about this new event area (to SLOW) in the South Downs National Park.
