Another series has come to an end all too quickly. 2016 provided some new venues as well as some old favourites. Our thanks go to all of the venues, 4 Play Cycles Cockermouth; Maryport Golf Club; Watchtree Nature reserve; Wild Duck at Branthwaite and Mae's tea rooms Uldale, for their excellent welcomes and refreshments. Hopefully you will agree that they all added to pleasure and enjoyment of the evenings activity.
Thanks also go to Keswick Mountain Bikes who were our main sponsor this year but also to Buffera, Polaris Bike Wear and Nutrition 4 who provided many of the prizes that you took home.
The competition this year was very close with the first 4 events providing 4 different winners. Kevin Hodgson was the final victor. Kate Charles made ABC history by becoming the first female to win an event outright. We also had our first unicycle and a recumbent pair take part this year.
Congratulations to all of the winners this year.
2017 is already being planned. We have another new venue up our sleeve as well as some variations on some existing areas. Keep an eye on the BMBO website for dates and preliminary venues as they will be announced soon.
