The second event in the Lanequest Winter Series 2016-2017 was held at The Royal Oak, Hornby (who stepped in at the last minute to support the event). Special thanks to Peter Knott and his wife for organising a fantastic event in difficult circumstances. The 41 participants were greeted by a beautiful morning with wall to wall sunshine. The terrain was set around the scenic Hornby Valley which meant plenty of climbing and navigation to be done with various roads being forced out of bounds due to closures/heavy traffic. There was quite a few new faces doing their first ever event which we hope you really enjoyed. The event was headed up by Dan Noblett, closely followed by Rachel and Mike Toyn on the tandem. First lady home was Jo Cleary, who just pipped Helen Jackson.

We hope you all really enjoyed the event and the great sunshine we organised for you. The next event will be at The Brown Horse, Winster, which is another fantastic location for you to explore while looking for check points.
